We had 3 wonderful knowledgeable guides showing us Longfellow Creek with new eyes. First we learnt about the bog around Westwood Village and the watershed that we live in. We then walked along the creek next to the golf course and saw some erosion. We learnt that the salmons still make it up the creek but only to the first tunnel from the Sound.
We learnt about the creek bridge and how someone cut out a piece to sit on the middle - so the Project Manager built a little platform bench to sit on. We got to hold a beaver tail. Listened to restoration effort and lots of birds. Thanks Elaine, Susan and you who I forgot your name.
