4 day Junior Amazing Race in Europe

My 8 year old son and I are huge fans of the Amazing Race and he asked me to apply for the show. He is still a little too young, but I wanted to use his enthusiasm for some fun travelling in Europe.

I read up on some recommendations on TripAdvisor for families and used Google Maps to see if its feasible depending on weather and energy level by foot and public transportation - and then write the Amazing Race clue cards the night before.

We found some true hidden gems besides the obvious, touristy sites and my son was very excited about the next stop and also more motivated to try out new activities. 

Day 1: Stuttgart - Paris
Clue 1: Take the train from Stuttgart, Germany to Paris, France
Clue 2: Find the Le Village Hostel, Rue d' Orsel (Metro Anvers)
Clue 3: Find the 'Je'taime' wall. In how many languages can you read 'I love you'?
Clue 4: Detour: Ride vehicular train up to Sacre Cour or take stairs
Clue 5: Enjoy a pastry before heading to Sacre Cour Basilica at the tops of the stairs.
Clue 6: Detour: Find playground at Square Suzanne Bluesson (sp?) OR Marcel Bleustein-xxx
Clue 7: Find Cafe des Deux Moulins, the Cafe from Amelie and order Creme Brulee (be careful it's tricky to find, winding down Rue Lepic from Place du Tertre, merging into rue des Abbesses. In fact, the street turns sharply south and the cafe is south of rue des Abbesses.

Day 2: Paris - 
Clue 1: Take a river cruise on the Seine.
Clue 2: Take a picture of you in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Clue 3: Find Camp-de-Mars park - Detour: ride a pedal car OR a vintage merry-go-round
Clue 4: Order crepe.
Clue 5: Go to Orly Airport and fly from Paris to Barcelona, your next stop.
Clue 6: Take Airport Shuttle to Soho Hotel in Barcelona

Day 3: Barcelona
Clue 1: Eat Breakfast at Granier
Clue 2: Take Hop-On Hop-Off Bus
Clue 3: Take picture of church
Clue 4: Take historic tram up to Park
Clue 5: Detour Ride vintage carousel OR ferris wheel
Clue 6: Hop back on bus and visit soccer stadium
Clue 7: Take Airport Shuttle to BCN and fly to Reykjavik, Iceland

Day 4: Reykjavik - a nice morning hike with elves, 
Clue 1: Find Hallakrimska and take the elevator up the tower 
Clue 2: Eat some local specialty foods at 
Clue 3: a bike ride to a light house, 
Clue 4: watch a volcano movie at the Volcano House
Clue 5: slide down the long at the pool
