An ad in the "Kurz & Fündig" should bring us the fourth man in our dream team. Our sole roommate Tom begged for male support and we gave in to his desire. So it happened that two weeks after we moved in (Thanks to Herrn Kulle) we had several applicants show up at our door step. After a friendly welcome we served the first guy lukewarm lemon tea in 30 degree in the shade (100 F) . While it was by accident, it turned out to be a very successful tactic in finding a suitable roommate in hindsight. He should be able to endure, with our tight but slightly crazy three-woman team.
To make our search for the perfect roommate a little more cheerful we invited our friend Flo, as he always was a good sport visiting us in our former apartment. I met him in a IRC-Chat-like online hangout, the Stadtnet. Because he sounded quite nice, we had arranged to meet in Strom Club, where he showed up with a girl that he introduced to me as his twin sister. Flo laughed really hard the entire time and finally announced he lied about her, but now he said, he would probably be interested in becoming one of our roommates.
I still remember how Flo looked inside the vacant room every now and then laughing, and then said, moving in would be a fun idea, but there is one problem -. he would have to indeed study. That made me speechless, as I had to ace my half term diploma in the next three months. and even if it was giving the impression as we would party day and night, we all actually had other things to do, too. We told him that we all have to study and so we got our new roommate. Not from the ad thou.
(/jule) Flo came and soon all our PCs were equipped with great digi-cams (with which we made excellent home videos). He also brought a spacious wooden bed, some Brother Grimm records and a large pile of clothes that would stay about the same over months.
Optimistic, curious, human bee.
