Year in Review: 2011 with the Deppe Family

It was a long year. We can’t even remember the start. Sarah (3) went from Spanish class to 2 days per week in the Vashon Island group at Tim’s school. She trained her Teddy Bear dance for her big Ballet Recital and started biking without training wheels. Tim had a great year in his Kindergarten class and entered first grade this fall, earned his orange belt in Hapkido and learned how to swim this summer. Christine was busy keeping up with the kid’s schedules, play dates, workouts, touring schools, networking at Startup Weekends and making new friends. She went on a Mom vacation to Germany in May. Her US work permit arrived in November and now she is looking for a job. Marco is as busy with work as ever. He manages a Developer Team in India where he travels a couple of times a year. He relieves his stress cooking, playing guitar and board games with the kids. We enjoyed our family trips to Portland for Easter, Lake Chelan in June, a fabulous Hawaii Cruise in September and are looking forward to spend the Christmas season, celebrate Tim’s 6th birthday and end this year with our families in Germany.
