The summer of '99 had a lot to offer in terms of private parties and so we took part in the Street Battle, where everyone came armed with something sticky and gooey to fire at the other participants. In addition to flour catapults, Schokokuessen, syrup and other Schleimkram loud music from ghetto blasters made it a great party. We were a little late and watched for most of the happening from a wise distance til the authority arrived and shut it down.
There were some more semi-legal techno parties happening under bridges, deep in the forest and in old barracks. It was were exciting - and sometimes we even had to run fast.

Between our lectures and tests plenty of time remained for beautiful evenings on the flat roof for trainspotting, teabag-throwing, heated discussions, parties with much Martini and Augustiner, strange nocturnal visitors and lots of interpersonal stuff.
The Landsberger Strasse is next to about 6 train tracks, half of them with container and lots of international trains zooming by. Depending on the weather and light the scenery looked rather surreal or apocalyptic. Jule amused himself with her extremely hairy Bavarian boyfriend who liked wearing orange terry cotton undies. Most evenings she now spent watching wrestling, drinking beer, hanging out in bars and on life-threatening mountain hikes with him. Susi and Jule went a little less on their usual pub crawls through Munich clubs and bars, while I focused very hard on my college tests and doing my night shifts at the information desk in Kunstpark Ost Although Susi struggled a little getting less attention because of Jule's boyfriend until Susi herself found her temporary soul mate. All well in the Adrenalin WG. |
