We enjoyed ourselves at the CameloT Party.
Fluli, our apartment couple, is in Mallorca, visiting Jessi and climbing a lot. Uli will for sure have something nice to report. After a week of breakup-wailing with Jule in Hamburg I offered Knarf "we could be 'just' friends". He had the flu, but still wanted to celebrate his party. So as a 'new' friend, I offered to help him with his party and went to the Metro C&C to get decorations and party supplies for his approx. 150 invited guests. Shortly after arriving at the store my phone battery died. Then, at checkout, I realized I did not have enough money (and they only accept cash). So I had to go find an ATM. On the way to the next ATM, the exhaust from my car loosened and sprayed sparks all over when I was driving. It really freaked me out. Back in the store, I got my cart, went to the check out, but realized I still did not have enough money, but a friendly, inpatient gentleman in line offered to pay the difference. By then, I was totally stressed out and almost in tears. Yes, lots of fun. Then I went back to our apartment because I could not go to Knarf's house dragging the exhaust behind me. I ran up the stairs, put the phone on the charger so I could call Knarf he would have to get the party supplies himself. I felt bad I would have to ask him and he couldn't rest and recover from his cold. But once I called, I found out to my very surprise, he was not sick in bed as expected. He was on his way back from the airport where he just picked up his latest affair. I was pretty pissed off about this fact. At the party, I was nervous to meet her for the first time. Although I was done with Knarf, I had a very strange feeling about meeting my 'competitor' of recent months. After some drinks I entered the kitchen as she was standing there with a huge bread knife. I wanted to leave immediately as she looked frightened evil. Then her face lit up and she said "I think we need to talk" and pushed me and a bottle of red wine in the guestroom - much to Knarf's discomfort, who came in from time to time to ask how we are doing and if we would need anything. Really funny. My competitor was a bit surprised when I told her about our recent engagement in Los Angeles this summer. Sure, that was way more commitment as expected. I also shared, that I was no longer interested and she could go ahead and have a real, two people relationship with him from now on. We then sat together til 6 am, drank wine and talked. Then my friend Juergen offered to give me a ride home to the apartment. I remember the pouring rain as I was crying my soul out in Juergen's car and then fell asleep exhausted and alone.
